Tends table-feeding equipment that regulates flow of finely
ground iron ore, coke, and flue dust from stroage bins onto
sintering machine conveyors: Starts table feeder and conveyor
and adjusts rheostats to regulate speed of vibrating feeders.
Moves controls to regulate opening of feed gate according to
rate of flow of materail onto conveyor.
Observes euqipment to
detect malfunctions. Cleras clogged chutes or feed gates, using
bar and shovel. Fills sample box with material on conveyor,
weighs sample, and records weight. Reads weightomteer scale and
records weights of material being processed.
